Introducing Caro and Dani

I’m Caro, and I’m an independent author of young adult fantasy fiction, such as A Plague of Dragons and The Colour of Her Magic. I’ve been writing since I was a child, and crafting novels since I was about 17. I have tried short stories but every time I start one it ends up creeping up in word count until I have a full-blown novel on my hands. 

I love to read as well as write. My favourite author wobbles between Anne McCaffrey and JRR Tolkien, and my favourite story of all time is Robin Hood.

When I’m not writing I do archery, I have a family and two cats, and build websites as a job. 

Hey, I’m Dani. I’m a former international athlete turned children’s author, and I’ve been making up stories since before I could hold a pen. It’s been a bit of a long and winding road to get here, but I’ve so far published four books under my name and ghost-written another. I specialise in non-fiction middle-grade books that are designed to spark curiosity, celebrate real people and help young readers imagine bold futures for themselves. I have big plans to explore other genres and expand my portfolio.

Outside of writing, I keep myself busy with a career in marketing, speak on topics like presentation skills and inclusion, and try to keep up with an ever-growing reading pile. 

I’ve recently relocated to New Zealand and I love connecting with others. I’m really excited to meet other writers.
